Why Cleanse?

This spring cleanse will help boost your body’s ability to release the early spring sluggishness we often experience from accumulated toxins during the winter season. Reconnect to your prana (vital life force energy) and invite your body to move closer to a state of optimal health.

This cleanse is a fantastic way to reconnect with your personal intentions, an opportunity to examine and redefine your relationship with food, as well as an invitation to recommit to self-care routines that may have slipped amidst life's many demands.

This cleanse provides a nourishing routine and structure that allows you to conserve the energy that would otherwise be spent planning meals and making grocery lists, freeing you up to have more time to tend to the state of your body, heart and nervous system. Our focus is on rejuvenation, not deprivation. This is not a fast, and you will not go hungry! We cultivate curiosity and promote adaptability, rather than blindly following rigid rules and protocols.

This is a traditional Ayurvedic cleanse with a hybrid option to juice fast. Providing an experience that is both effective in facilitating detoxification, while also nourishing for body, mind and spirit. The cleanse is perfect whether you are an experienced cleanser, or if this is your first cleansing experience. This is particularly effective for individuals who have struggled with liquids-only fasts. (Note: juicing is optional and a cooked breakfast option is offered as part of the cleanse plan for those who do not have a juicer or would prefer something a bit more substantial in the mornings).

What people love most about the Ayurvedic cleanse is learning the special rejuvenation techniques such as dry skin, brushing, oil massage and anti aging practices. Most of all they love the deep space it creates for personal reflection/introspection, and the opportunity to be supported by a loving, vibrant community. You’ll have the chance to connect with other cleanse participants in a live online setting as well as through a private group forum.

Participants in Ayurvedic cleanses often come away with:

  • Increased energy levels

  • Better digestive functioning

  • Heightened mental clarity, curiosity and self compassion

  • Diminished cravings for sugar, caffeine and processed foods

  • Motivation to make more optimal food choices, eat more mindfully, and stay committed to self-care

  • Deeper connection with true hunger cues and the ability to notice when eating/snacking is driven by boredom, procrastination or other patterns

  • Ongoing connections with other members of the cleanse community

  • Guidance to make food and lifestyle choices that are seasonally supportive

During the cleanse, you have the opportunity to lovingly prepare all of your meals, one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself. All recipes are designed to be accessible to all, regardless of your experience level or comfort in the kitchen.

Each morning, you can enjoy a delicious green juice, packed with ingredients to detoxify the body from the inside out. (There will also be options offered for those who do not wish to juice, or prefer a warm breakfast option.) Lunch and dinner consist primarily of kitchari (spiced mung beans and rice – a complete protein meal) OR an alternative if legumes are not for you. A selection of Ayurvedic condiments to warm your belly and provide the sustenance you need for your active lifestyle. Additional lunch and dinner options are provided to add variety for those who desire it. Optional suggested supplements, teas and cleansing routines inspired by ancient Ayurvedic wisdom can also be integrated into the program, based on your individual needs.

Unlike other cleanses that can deplete your energy and leave you feeling lethargic, this cleanse is specifically designed to help conserve and maintain your energy throughout the duration of the program, so that you can carry on with your normal routines with ease. Moreover, Ara will offer expert guidance to allow you to tailor the cleanse to support your individual work, family and lifestyle demands.

Think of the Ayurvedic cleanse as a process of going inward, facilitating deep inner connection and healing. This is not a forcible or harsh process. This cleanse allows the body to relax, and therefore release and let go of that which it does not need.
